Athletes
Athletes are at the heart of Cybil’s passion as she was one herself. Not only has she been a D1 athlete, but also has coached many of them nationally.
Cybil works with athletes both individually and in groups. Being a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist, Cybil sees the value in not only addressing the athlete’s individual presenting issues, but also identifying and addressing the systemic issues that create and/or perpetuate the athlete’s individual struggles. These issues can take many forms including coaching pressures, academic pressures, teammate discord, social media and gaming issues, parental relationships, sibling rivalry, scholarship pressures and navigation of NCAA, professional athletic pressures, and loss of motivation for sport. In short, “to fix a puzzle, we must look not at one specific piece, but rather at the sum of all the pieces to see the whole picture”. When the other pieces will not fit, the piece you are struggling with will continue not to perform to your expectations.
Athletes working with Cybil typically see changes within a few sessions and barring larger clinical issues, see problem resolution within 6-8 sessions.

Team
Cybil sees great value in working with sporting teams and has worked with many to date. Working with a team as a whole sets up strong collective efficacy – the belief that the group will succeed. Working with a team can be done in specific one-time sessions to address specific team needs or as mental bootcamps at your team location to address all concerns. If you would like Cybil to be a more constant part of your team’s function, she offers packages for longer term involvement to be an integral part of your team’s success now and in the future. This would encompass individual athlete support, team workshops, and coach and trainer support.
